Once again, the Ina Mae Greene Foundation, a Dallas Based foundation that helps the women and children of domestic violence, has developed a unique, classy way to fund these services.
On Friday, September 14, 2012, IMGF will hold its first annual “Pearls and Purses Luncheon”. The Luncheon will be held at the beautiful, Victory Tavern City Grille Restaurant, 2501 N. Houston St. in Dallas Texas, 75219, from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M.
The Ina Mae Greene Foundation is a 501 C 3 charity so all donations are tax deductible. All proceeds will be used to fund the foundations many efforts to help the victims of domestic violence, in particular, the bus pass and gas card programs which IMGF distributes to the shelters and women in need of transportation to facilitate their new lives.
Participants of the luncheon will not only enjoy a special, delicious meal, they will also be able to bid on and buy new and gently used designer purses and handbags. Purses will also be won by raffle. Bags will be available from designers such as GUCCI, LOUIS VUITTON, COACH, DOLCE & GABANA, JUICY COUTURE and many, many more. This affair will also provide beneficial networking opportunities and valuable business connections for you and your company or group as many prominent, Dallas businesspersons will be in attendance.
Attendees will also get to meet and receive informational presentations from some very gifted speakers and community leaders. Scheduled to speak are; Michelle Morgan, director of "One Safe Place" a new system that Tarrant County is going to use so that victims can get all of the help they need in one location so they are not forced to run all over town to get the assistance they need. Other featured speakers include Darlene Greene, Founder and Director of the Ina Mae Greene Foundation and Melissa Finch, Chairperson of the Dallas Council on Family Violence. Mistress of Ceremony will be Ms. Dede McGuire, co-host of the Doug Banks, V103 Morning Show. Also attending will be Skip Chetham and the Playground Morning Show from K105.5 FM.
Purse and handbag donations are still being accepted.
